Honestly, watching Cardcaptor Sakura with all its romantic and homoerotic themes might have been the most bonding I've ever had with my daughter before puberty hit. She wouldn't watch Clear Card with me though ;_;

@ChibiYuuki You much not have read a lot of shoujo. Check out Ouke no monshou and Glass mask, both were created on 1976 and are currently still on-going.

I'm less surprised about the teasing and more surprised about how a shoujo series could stick around for 10+ years and at least two sequel series with the main relationship going nowhere.

it's been 14 years since takagi chapter 1 and he's still getting teased you could argue their relationship hasn't developed past chapter 1, despite somehow having a child
