Like I get that it's embarrassing to step in and the person you're trying to help clarifies that nah, they're actually fine and not in need of any rescuing, but she did very clearly indicate a few times that she's not up for it. Even if it's possible that she'll pass that off as acting or something later on, I think the risk of losing face is far outweighed by the risk of someone being forced into this.
