...I might be jaded, but the divorce thing didn't seem to be that big of a deal for them. Why would he gush on it when
A, she didn't seem too upset over it,
and B, she's not to the type of person who wants sympathy?

Maybe if she was more upset about it, I know it can be difficult to deal with over in Japan, but who knows when the divorced happened?
