I agree to disagree. Specifying 'Kyuudou' instead of simply 'archery' respects cultural depth and integrity. Even if the story doesn’t delve deeply into these aspects, retaining the term preserves authenticity and enriches the narrative.

Sigh

It is 2001, and people are trying to argue Alucard's name is Arucardo

It is 2007, and a fansubber is trying to argue that Keikaku has deeper connotations than Plan

It is 2012, and Western One Piece fans are claiming Nakama is a deeper, untranslatable word than Friend

Eh, no. I think it would have sufficed to call it "Japanese archery" if some distinction really exists. Could leave a footnote about the rich distinction of "kyuudou" vs other archery for those who care.
My 2 cents: there are a lot of good manga that are abandoned, and it's better to spend your effort there instead of being a dickhead. But it's your effort anyway, you do you.

Thank god the block button exists.
Fix It Yourself actually is the only active translator on at least one series I know of, so blocking may not be advisable. But I do feel the chapters here were a misstep on his part.

I understand where you're coming from. The asshole in me wants to point out that what is effectively a pirating website isn't the best place for respecting cultural depth and integrity, haha. But yeah, agree to disagree.
