From her reaction to the hired assassins, I'm guessing they're related to her old crew. It might be the start of her revenge arc at a glance, but since I'm basing it off of basically nothing it might not be.hmm... why did she offer to be a guard?
what does she get out of it?
I don't think she actually gives a damn about hiding her abilities, as long as it doesn't interfere with staying a studenthmm... why did she offer to be a guard?

Part of is it probably that she's already involved. The two that got away know who she is and what she looks like, so they'll be seeing her as an obstacle to killing their target and trying to remove her anyway.hmm... why did she offer to be a guard?

But thats kind of odd, during the entrance exam she purposely wrote in some wrong answers. What does covering up being smart do for you if you're displaying full combat power and gaining attention anyways? I would assume that's foreshadowing that she's holding back everywhere, just presenting enough power to solve the problem safely, but I can't really see any good reasons to show you're in the upper level of combat ability while hiding you're actually an expert.I don't think she actually gives a damn about hiding her abilities, as long as it doesn't interfere with staying a student
Sandbagging the magic test was pretty important to not basically show she's graduate level. But thats kind of odd, during the entrance exam she purposely wrote in some wrong answers. As she said, to not stand out. Being an assassin aside, as someone from a lower ranking house, it would make more sense to common perception that someone from the sticks would not be as well educated as the capital nobles. Book smarts, like what it seems the exam was testing them for, don't equate to excellent physical ability. But thats kind of odd, during the entrance exam she purposely wrote in some wrong answers.
