To be frank, I'm a little tired of the "If you make her cry, I'll never forgive you" shtick. I mean, I get it, you love your sibling, but good grief, it just knee jerks treats every perspective guy as just some abusive booze-wolf.

Or the bestfriend doing it, or if instead of the crying bit it's "I need to ensure you're good enough! Do you know (thing about love interest) like I do?! Did you do (thing) like we did?!", or the sister/cousin/bestfriend is just a misandrist in general, etc.

It's so tired and overdone. I mean, sure, maybe a good portion of my tiredness of it is just because of the amount of romance manga I read but I've grown so so sick of it.

If I were to take a shot for everytime this arc happens I'd have alcohol poisoning.

Legit. Especially considering the previous arc where they were guests at her friend's wedding - that had meaningful progress for what's in store for the future of their relationship. Introducing a new character then doing the "one step forward, all the steps back" dance is lazy. Unless said new character is really exaggerated and played up for laughs it's not fun. Off the top of my head, Yuri Briar is peak comedy in his obsessiveness over Yor.

I mean realistically, her being in a relationship is because she's weaker than she views her to be. Not to be negative, but life is hard. And having someone along with you for the ride can make it that much smoother
