Sadly this isn’t true, most people carry multiple recessive disorders each of which will have an expected 6.25% chance of manifesting in the child if you commit imouto nakadashi. But we can change that, if we use genetic engineering we will be able to snip out all the bad genes that make inbreeding dangerous. This can be used to help save endangered species where there isn’t enough genetic diversity to avoid inbreeding, so we’ll market it as that to get funding and it just so happens that the technology also works for making perfect babies with your sister. I read that there’s also some epigenetic factors for inbreeding depression, but I bet that can be fixed too.

Also inbred fetuses spontaneously abort at higher rates since a lot of recessive mutations don’t allow homozygotes to even make it to birth. Usually this happens at an early enough stage that it isn’t even recognizable as a miscarriage so whatever.

So out of that 6.25%,how many actually last long enough to even be counted as a miscarriage,and how many actually survive long enough to be born?

You and your sibling get all of your DNA from your parents. There’s a 50% chance any given allele will be passed down to you and the odds that you and your sibling both get the same allele are 25%. If that happens and you’re both carriers for a recessive disorder there’s a 25% chance that your child will get the allele from both of you thus making them homozygous. 25% of 25% is 6.25%, so for any given disorder your parents are carriers for, there is a 6.25% chance it will manifest in your children if you have them with your sibling. Of course that’s just what you would expect from probability, in reality it could be much worse or better chances.

With genetic testing you could take a peek at you and your sibling’s genomes and the probability that your child would be homozygous for any given gene would either jump to 25% if it turns out you are both carriers or fall to 0% if it turns out you aren’t both carriers.

As for which percentage of fetuses would spontaneously abort there is really no way to know since it’s dependent on what genes the parents carry and this normally happens at such an early stage that the woman probably wouldn’t even know she’s pregnant yet and wouldn’t ever know. A large percentage of pregnancies spontaneously abort even in unrelated couples.

Imagine a scientist asking for funding from an animal conservation organization because he wants to make healthy babies with his sister.

scientist: can I have funding to use genetic engineering to get rid of inbreeding depression?
funding board: to help endangered species?
scientist: Yeeeeeessssssss
Actually uses it to breed his sister, like a boss

Send that girl some scary letters knowing where she lives, with some photos of her loved ones, plus a small dead animal to really get the point across and tell her to break up with your brother. Easy peasy.
