Damn... good thing I'm re-reading the series (Thanks to the Anime !) because I have forgotten how tragic Mob story...

Poor guy is enduring all the false allegations while being someone who couldn't be blamed if he didn't wanted to do anything with ghosts anymore... but he's still doing it because that's what Heroes do !!

Thank you for the chapter, I wonder if the driver was his estranged wife?
He said she saved his family just in time so they probably got back together. Since she left because she couldn't take him acting like their daughter was still alive.

It's okay, it's not real.
If we have souls, there's probably an afterlife of some kind.
If we don't, well... then we don't. Simple as.
Speaking as someone who has died 4 times* there was nothing during the periods I was dead. Just a discontinuity between one second and the next, with the first being the most distressing, since I fell off the bed and my face landed on my hand. Came back to life screaming with a bloody nose. If you've ever had anesthesia, it was exactly like that. I tend to waffle back and forth between agnostic and atheist still, but I really, really doubt there's an afterlife now.

* No joke, I developed Long QT Syndrome and my heart stopped pumping blood 4 times. The first 3 happened at home and my heart managed to sort itself out before I suffered brain damage or permanent death, the 4th happened at the ER and I got to find out what the aftermath of CPR feels like. Beats being dead, but boy did it hurt like hell for months. And that was with my not suffering any broken ribs.

No offense, but if you are still here, you didn't really die. You met the technical definition of death, or the legal definition, or whatever. You weren't brought back from beyond the grave by magic, you were resuscitated. Your brain never died, so you didn't actually die. If we have souls, they don't skip town the second your heart stops. If you have a soul, it hadn't left yet. So not seeing anything while unconscious and without a pulse doesn't have any bearing on if there is an afterlife, or rather, it's not evidence of either case.
