That shouldn't be much of a problem unless they go full Sailor moon and she becomes crippled if the love interest isn't around... I remember thinking like that with Frieren, I wanted adventure!! so when Stark showed up I thought he would make things awkward but not at all, even with the hints of romance, the story and adventure is progressing nicely... But well, that depends on each author.
