Why does the demon lord still travels with the hero?, he is pretty weak now... or is she actually dominated by the hero`s power?

Curious how the sword-pull's gonna end up. Obviously it was the girl that did it, but I wonder if this'll give her some form of anti-brainwash ability + snap her out of it (which will lead to her getting booted immediately / potentially meeting up with the MC later).

what? really? it doesn't make any sense, so the the demon lord now is in deadlock because it can't kill the hero anymore? but why getting manipulated by simple domination? even that viscount daughter raised by mc didn't even flinch by the domination.
that's kinda roundabout way to do it
She's the only one not under mind control, she gave him the ability to have a tighter hold on him, and make him think he had control over her. She's pretending.

I mean.. it's a working plot device, or rather its even required for this (this type of story), since the plot would literally not work otherwise, the alternative would be : The Leader is the perfect nice guy and mc never separates from them in which case the entire story would be invalidated, since the mc has no reason to change anything in that case, because if the Leader weren't total Trash he wouldn't go for a girl that's to be wed ~
ive actually scene 2 manga with pretty much that premise

I Was Dismissed from the Hero’s Party Because They Don’t Need My Training Skills, so I Strengthen My [Fief] Which I Got as a Replacement for My Retirement Money.

And

The Impregnable Demon King’s Castle and the Expelled Black Mage of the Hero’s Party

in the first one, the whole party’s really nice to him but fear for his safety now that they’re higher level than him, so they give him land to manage and he raises up an army to outshine them.

In the second one, the party are kinda aholes but the leader is really nice and his childhood friend, but the party is kinda right to be mean because he hides his true potential due to prejudice.

I'm laughing. Toru is dining on actual food, while the so-called hero is forced to eat bugs.

I dislike the whole "betrayed" concept in general but this manga is worse than the usual stuff, since there's no betrayel. I feel so bad for that Lisa girl. She's a cheap plot tool so the MC can feel bad for himself, yet she's the only real victim and I doubt she get's vindication. And even if, she will be left holding the bag while the MC moves on with his new, merry harem.

He said she was closest to him for years yet he didn't even stop and wonder why for a moment when she suddenly and dramatically changed her tune? He's either criminally dense and stupid or didn't trust her at all despite saying she was the dearest person in his life. I actually hope he finds out and feels guilt-ridden for the rest of his life. That would be a satisfying end.

Do these types of stories HAVE to let the previous party's leader be such a twisted person? Is that a requirement enforced by the editors or something? I mean, I get it. It makes him an easily hateable person, so it gets the job done.

I'd be happy if we just don't give them any screen time anymore. Always just an eyesore to see the previous party.
There's a big reason in this story why the previous party members are focused on as much as they haved. Unfortunately, the manga has a slow release rate so it's gonna be a while before you get to it.

The hero title has an innate skill that reduces the demon lord's stats to 1/10 or something similar. He is weak but his presence alone is a danger to her. Also, killing the current hero will just make it so another hero gets born. She's basically making sure our dumb hero becomes her slave for his lifetime. And it would've worked had the hero be a bit more level-headed instead of being his own spanner in the works

it was more so to wrap the hero around her finger so that he wouldn't think about hurting her

...well, I wonder how the MC will react when the truth has unveiled.
the real question is how long will it take.

I would say that they would be BOTH victims of the situation. The protagonist had no reason to think there was some brainwashing. But anyway considering some comment and spoiler i've read, look like the situation is more complex than what it look like, and there is more than just hypnosis involved.

Or else it would be, "the heroes kicked me out of the party cause i was really a useless and weak moron".

But then again, those aren't exactly in the same category, since this one here is rather dark in comparison, with showing r*** for example, compared to that those two are rather 'SFW'

I have read a small number (literally not many) where the Hero wasn’t a jerk. First one I can think of (can’t remember the name atm) MC was a debuff sorcerer. The party didn’t know how his abilities worked and wanted more dps. So here goes the we need someone to replace you part. Of course there was one idiot in the party. But within this one at least the Hero and MC have a alone chat and it’s done peacefully.

Mmhm. There's one, can't remember the title, where it's at least half from the perspective of the childhood friend hero party, who kick him out because they genuinely think he'll do better (and more safely so) in another party.

But they do it in the stereotypical way, which is, naturally, a huge miscalculation (for which they spend at least the first third of the story kicking themselves for), and he ends up hating them, so he doesn't listen when they try to explain and ask forgiveness.

And yes, he becomes OP, and forms a new party, with blackjack, and-

Handed a piece of paper from off forum

-Oh wait, no blackjack? No- Oh, right, just a new party who also do well...

Can't wait for when Toru and Kaede encounter Sain and those women again. I'm guessing that Sain will try to use the charm eyes on Kaede to steal her from Toru, but it won't work because Kaede is stronger. Kaede will then deduce that Sain has a brainwashing ability and communicate this to Toru, who'll use that scroll he got to dispel the charm eye's effect on the women. All at once they'll come to their senses and be overcome by the soul-shattering despair of realizing all of the things that Sain has done to them, and what he's made them do to the man they love, and the utterly indescribable rage they will direct toward Sain. It'll be so much fun.
