Her friend broke up because she realized Kasane didn't seriously like her (even though Kasane didn't realize it). This is the first time Kasane has seriously liked someone (Megumi), and the friend made sure of that a few chapters ago (while also reminding Kasane not to make the same mistakes).

Meeting with the Older Sister, even for a moment, is a big deal. It's definitely not going anywhere near a threesome. I don't even know why that's being treated like a possibility, even as a joke. It's not that kind of manga or story, but how will Kasane react? How will Megumi react, now that she's gotten closer to Kasane and after being seen crying like this?

Considering her past with Megumi, how will the older sister respond to seeing Kasane? Does she even know about the arrangement? What did she even come there to say in the first place? There's a lot of potentially interesting results of this meeting that needed to happen at some point. The story takes this all seriously, so I'm interested in how it works out.

That being said, sister actually coming back means we can actually move relationships in this story forward as they all are gonna be forced to deal with some lingering threads over this.

I assume it's jokes too but I've had more than 1 person elsewhere make the argument that Kasane, by simply mentioning the obvious about how both sisters are pretty, was clearly thinking about being with both of them. But I agree with you, especially what you said last.

Author-san does a great job at having the protagonist adopt a reader mindset. I love manga in part because it gives you that feeling that really ANYTHING is possible! Looking forward to the possibilities!

Both of them are the main characters.. so it’s inevitable. But you are right, it’ll be a long time before we see anything, given the pace it’s taken to translate the chapters..
