Real oyakodon is really good! Basically breaded fried chicken (which is always good) with fried eggs (always good) on rice. Then you add pepper, spice, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, sriracha sauce, whatever you want.

Are you perhaps thinking of a chicken Katsudon instead of oyakodon? Oyakodon is more of a simmered chicken and eggs over rice while chicken Katsudon is fried (typically done with pork cutlet but can be with chicken cutlet)
