Oh I think I get it, the Giant Otters couldn't survive the movie floor in chapter 14 because they're all clones of the standby. They can't have the movie appeal to different people because presumably the newer the clone is the more it's similar to the original. The one who crawled out of the theater was probably the oldest of the batch.
