I'm so glad that the 2nd friend has gotten a spotlight in the newest chapters, I remember in the previous ones she only had like one or two appearances. :aquadrink:

Anyways, here's the text on the floor. It was in English originally too.

Friends shown in this chapter:
  • Common Raccoon (our lovable Arai-san, of course)
  • Boomslang (possibly)
  • Short-Beaked Common Dolphin (simplified design with key features intact)
  • Blue Whale (Statue)

I am assuming it's Boomslang due to her hoodie, but she doesn't have red eyes on her hoodie. This might be a stylistic choice, or I might be wrong on the intended snake friend. Either way, she most closely resembles Boomslang, so I'm sticking with that as my final answer.
Short-Beaked Common Dolphin, also known as Maruka (her nickname in all games), is able to be identified for three reasons; her hair shape, her colors, and her footwear (yes, I'm serious). She's the only dolphin friend with black hair, a blue dress, and black shoes. She is also the youngest friend in the sense that she looks AND acts like a child in every way. Her smile must be protected at all costs.
Finally, Blue Whale is mimicked by the statue to lure in Maruka. Blue Whale, the largest animal in Earth's history, is depicted as a motherly figure in the lore. She's caring, gentle, and BIG. All of the dolphin friends look up to and respect her, and she returns that adoration by being their caretaker. While friends don't have biological mothers, Blue Whale is without a shadow of a doubt the mother figure to the dolphin girls.

The more you know!

A bit underwhelming compared to the other anomalies since we don't see the consequences of being lured by it.

I think a faceless monstrosity invading the your psyche, to r_ape your memory of what the deepest part of you holds dear...

...I think this is pretty damn terrifying. Less is more in this case.

I Was Reincarnated as a Nameless Combatant in a Japanese-style Fantasy Depressive Erotic Game, but the Women Around Me Are All Dangerous, and I Have a Bad Feeling about It

"Youbo (Youkai Mother)" is a fallen western Gaia deity, whose blood invades the MC, Tomobe. She has a perverse love for "all living things" and tries to convert MC (and anything else falling into her grasp) into a youkai "son".

She slowly tortures and erodes him in his dreams. By replacing the last vestiges of the memory of his lost family, who was forced to sell him as a child, with herself copy+pasted in. Tearing apart his sanity as he desperately resists her embrace, driving him insane.

Chapter 28 Part 2 is a good excerpt of one of the places this happens to the poor bastard.
Chapter 44 Part 1 is where he is more sane but his memory is still being eroded and defiled.

I could be wrong but the second friend possibily a tsuchinoko.

Raccond friend is a clone meaning it doesnt have "birth mother"

I know tsuchinoko a cryptid being, so i guess it also doesnt have a mother in a sense?

You're pretty much spot-on in your observation, here's a tweet of the author giving a bit of context for the last panel. :nyoron:

"Humans are affected by it, but friends don't have real moms so they're immune.
Following this logic, knowing that sea friends widely admire the Blue Whale as a
mother figure, I drew the last panel with the message「This is how effective it is
on a susceptible target!」in mind, but I feel like it didn't convey properly that it's
imitating the Blue Whale specifically. Well, up until this point this kind of
knowledge about Kemono Friends wasn't really necessary to enjoy this series, so it
makes sense."

"I feel like this idea could be expanded on its own for a different creative work,
something like "monstrosity that mimics mother figures becoming an synthtetic
cultivation unit/machine when encountering artificially raised clones."

Other guy: I wonder what would happen if they followed it inside the house.
Abubu: Death, probably.

The snake friend is one of Abubu's OC friends, scavenger-chan. We don't know what kind of snake she is exactly, but she has appeared before.

Scavenger is mostly based off Tsuchinoko given all the design similarities.
Edit: For anyone else who needs a refresher, there's some (non-English) fan wikis; NicoVideo, Pixiv Dictionary, Namu

It would help if the speech text would be colored differently depending on whose talking. It was hard to decipher since text bubbles and pointers are the same.

I think it's intended for it to be confusing and misleading, so I left it as it is, the japanese font for both scavenger-chan and the monster is the exact same, the pointers are probably like that on purpose too.
