Kabane probably won't get the chance to explain further that Kaede is a mass-murderer considered a convict on Death Row, was slated for execution, and is in his charge for his crimes. If there's one thing that grinds my gears about many stories, it's the self-righteous characters who can't even be bothered to listen to the answers to their own questions. Which is probably how this one will turn out too.

The way I skipped that chapter seeing Kaede being infantilized. "He's just misguided!" my ass, mf killed an entire village and most definitely children with it to. He's an adult, it's his choice is his responsibility and I hate how the author treated him as though he did a "whoopsie daysie, totally not irreversible damage, I deserve time out corner"
