The side characters in this manga just seem like either emotionless nobodies or just plain assholes (except the kids younger then 13).

I tell ya tho, the mangaka's "inner vision" of how to draw this series is oddly ... fascinating, literally.

In no way do I think it "bad" or "poorly done"; it's just somehow so ... different, and I really like it.
