Weird, I mean their positions are so high up that even as men, getting a harem of girls to wash them would be easy, with all that power and money. Why would they think it is necessary to be female at all... I bet solomon does it just the same, and as a guy, offscreen.

I mean... we do have the tech. It's called making a hanging kotatsu. There's no rocket science involved. It's just not practical
Theoreticaly you can use magnet to, worth it probably not, possible yes

About Mira conversation at the end......i forget but does luminaria also genderbend like Mira or is she actually a woman? Been a while that i forget the beginning
Mira did it for the lulz because her original avatar (Dunbalf) was basically a gandalf clone (she was role-laying as a grumpy old git, complete with the way of speech too). Luminaria has been using a female chara from day 1 because if you’re gonna stare at something for hours, might as well make it fappable, and i want big tits too.

It gets lost in the translation, but Mira speaks with an exaggerated 'old man wizard' style. It's something she would do when roleplaying as Dunbalf and couldn't break the habit even after being turned into a little girl. You can hear it if you listen to the Japanese version, she often ends her sentences with a verbal tic like 'na ja' and makes other such word choices that don't really translate differently, but is just an 'old man' way of speaking. Having her use a British accent is a decent way to show that she's talking like an old wizard despite no longer being an old wizard.

the maids are trying to ship Mira with the king
Well, think about it: to them, it looks like Mira is a girl about Solomon's age, and they spend a lot of time together.
And the kingdom could certainly use a heir, in case something happens with Solomon.

Luminaria is the kind of player who is male but prefers to play as a female character. Luminaria kept being female when the game became real, and he/she was fine with it.
Very different from MIra who became a girl by accident.
why hang it, just use magnets
It has been proven impossible to levitate something using ordinary magnets.
Levitation needs constantly switching electromagnets, superconductivity or other exotic methods that are not practical for furniture.

Even better, whenever Mira shows up, Solomon kicks everyone else out of the room so it's just the two of them. He's also constantly commissioning very expensive and very cute dresses for her, gifting her with flying carriages, etc. There's also a scene or two in the first novel that is cut from the manga where Solomon's guards absolutely think he and Mira are 'making an heir' when they're alone in his office together.

Amusingly the manga leans into the idea by having Solomon chastise her for getting in the bath with him because she's a girl now. In the novel he doesn't care and there's no tension at all.

I would say magnets are a terrible idea. The whole point is to replace the legs of the kotatsu. If you want to use magnets, that means the magnets would need to lift the kotatsu at least 50cm above the ground exclusively with magnets. BUT, because the whole point is to replace the legs, the magnets have to stay at ground level which means you'd be able to put your legs on top of it... Which makes the whole thing impossible. You won't be able to make magnets that can lift the kotatsu and still avoid any interference from the people entering it... And without destroying every electronic device that was still in your pockets

they have magnetic floating beds, they are absurdly expensive but, the only downside is the fact they have guide wires on the corners, but that would be much smaller then table legs
