I'm more than well aware, I understand the duty to do underhanded things for the good and safety of your people.

But the highest head of state was also the one who said to leave them alone. In which case this is disboeying an autocrat. Going against the king is going against divine mandate - absolute authority. The crown is the kingdom. You betray the king, you betray every person in the land.

Just a thought, its not wrong translated [Maou(魔王)] but Shin title probably mean [Magic King(魔法の王)] instead of [Demon Lord(魔王)], its very common to simplify word so they probably cut of some letters (also to make fun of Shin) and end liked that [Magic + King (魔 + 王)]

You are right, that don't connect Japanese and Isekai language, its probably a miss of the author

My comment there was about how they use the words to make fun of him, ch.27 pg 35 have a balloon referring Shin as King of Magic so japaneses know the meaning, after translated the people don't get the joke because it don't make sense, 王 mean king/lord and 魔 may mean evil and also magic, that can not be shown at first glance and if you don't have the knowledge of this you might miss the pun

Not often you see this level of generic self insert garbage that jerks off the MC harder than the AUTOBLOW 6000XL XTREME.

You know what they said, countless losses stem from subordinates think they know better than their superior.

They might not be head of state, but they do share security part of duty. And honestly, it is just opportunistic surveillance. They didn't even send extra units, just told the attachments what to be included in report. In short, almost perfect excuse.

Which make us wonder, why Chris and Sieg accept that? Or even why they ever think about asking those two to do it?

what's with the inconsistency? one moment it was "Walford", the other it's "Wolford". i thought biamam has proofreaders
Generally, proofreaders in scanlation either don't do anything, especially in such groups, or read script but not the end result. It's just there "because everyone have it". Same with so called quality checkers. "Demon king/Maou? Walford/Wolford? Washing machine toilet? Empty bubbles? Missing punctuation, words or letters? Nope, all good lol!"

@Rugid i've done proofreading before, so this lack of consistency triggers me because stuff like consistent terminology is a must-have to check when proofreading. at least, to my nominally-sane common sense standards

Empty bubbles aside, everything else is translator's fault in the first place anyway. I get the feeling he doesn't understand what he's translating and doesn't remember how was translated exactly the same thing a few sentences ago. Proofreader here is just the last in a long chain of failures to blame.

Did they forget that MC grew up with him being trained by the sword saint Michel? He should be at least as proficient as the jet boots guy.

@Rugid good point; even the best proofies fail when the TLs are bad since we proofread mostly using the TLs as the basis. can't be an editor if you have any idea what the fuck you're editing after all.
