Other than that, they should have just verified if the idiots from the whatever kingdom are all dead, and since they are, Shin could have annihilated the whole castle at once using a spell on the tactical scale. I have no idea why they thought separating and everyone invading on their own was a good idea. It seems like the worst idea if you ask me.

@Kaarme Problem with action manga is that the worst solution is always applied to a scenario, unless the manga's gimmick is that the MC has a working brain like in Realist Maou Niyoru Seiiki Naki Isekai Kaikaku. It's why antagonists keep getting away with a slap on the wrist after whatever atrocity they committed in all forms of media.

@Nematoda Uhhuh. If you are going to destroy an enemy stronghold, you obviously don't first send your own men in. Shin could have checked the status of the idiots first (all dead, though it would be no great loss even if a few were still lingering). Then they would have just kept their distance and brought down the whole castle in one fell swoop. That's how it works. War is about causing maximum damage to your enemy with minimum casualties of your own. What they are doing now is actually giving the enemy great chances to kill the Ultimate Magicians one by one. Of course we know none of them will actually die due to shitty writing, but that shitty writing is indeed the only thing saving them despite the stupid strategy.

@Kaarme is completely correct. A magic scan to tell who's inside/alive. No humans? Encircle the castle with Ultimate Magicians and NUKE THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF IT.

@kingalthur i think the "heroes " are just forgetting about their real barrier's which is weird cuz they seem to have an entirely different barrier around them. Because the barrier's are 1. magic barrier that disperses oncoming magic 2. Physical barrier that reflects all physical attacks. Right now it looks like their using their natural barrier rather's then Shin's equipment. The biggest draw back of Shin's equipment is that you have to activate it before the attack. That means your still vulnerable to sneak attacks, but after its up then theres nothing anyone can do.

that is the thing @Kaarme, you need a working brain to make these strategies, what we have here is a "hero" who let his fiancee get captured to lure the church guys but no way to track her, if it wasnt for the church stupidity and let her use the phone she would be raped and death by now.
