No, but, seriously. Why did they decide to not just teleport ahead? The convo made little sense to me.
If they had a trail and they are following it (meaning they would stay pursuing even if the devils changed target), or know they will catch them sooner than halfway (faster to not tele), then I could get why they wouldn't just want to cut them off by a Gate. But that is not what they said.
