No, but, seriously. Why did they decide to not just teleport ahead? The convo made little sense to me.
If they had a trail and they are following it (meaning they would stay pursuing even if the devils changed target), or know they will catch them sooner than halfway (faster to not tele), then I could get why they wouldn't just want to cut them off by a Gate. But that is not what they said.

Lol the author has given shin so many OP powers he needs to come up with straight bullshit reasons why not to use them in order to give the story fake climactic moments.

I mean anyone reading this clearly knows they could all just gate to the exterior of the kingdom and fight the devils there easily. Very poor writing lmao.

Uhh nothing stops them from splitting up. 1 group use gate to capital, 1 group keep chasing until they regroup with the convo.

I'm liking this new increase in tension in these chapters. Shin and the group having a bit of a struggle is what character build/gaining experience is all about. No one likes continues spam of op magician 1hit killing everything.

why not use gate? Try to understand...they wanted to catch up before they reach the kingdom as there was highly a chance of a battle between the other group with no ultimate magician on the way to the kingdom(and it did) with resulting in one sided casualties.
@Kyujyu hmm valid point, maybe they just don't want to risk it. But there are only 2 demon so what's the risk? Mc shouldn't be panicking this much.

@cannarali Don’t get me wrong I like tension too I just think the way they manufactured it isn’t really realistic so it’s not tension to me, all the MCs have too much plot armor. Once they start killing people off it will have some tension, but they probs won’t do that because it doesn’t really seem like that type of manga.

And yeah but couldn’t they have just used gate to travel to the weak group of soldiers and fight them?
