I don't like how so many people brush over the fact that the demon was Kurt before. Shin looks to be taking it seriously but everyone else is kinda just like "lol kurt the demon is ded as fuck"

@tboosh To be fair, considering what they're capable of later in the series (and even just what was shown in the king's flashback), as far as the people of this world are concerned, the only good demon is a dead demon, regardless of who it was before becoming a demon.

pretty cool cultural dissonance with every cheering for him while he himself feels guilty about taking someone's life

Wow
Someone gets mind controlled and is still blamed for everything and killed with no remorse.
There was no attempt to reverse it or try to reason with him; just a decapitation

@dabes115 so im guessing your ignoring the fact that he was about to suicide bomb and Possibly take out the entire School or even more, in this world they know all too well that Humans can turn into Demons, and the MC knows this as well, he Valued the lives of the students over Kurts life, and felt remorse about doing so, since he wanted to find another way. the students have no remorse because they are used to the fact that humans can turn into demons and Demons are to be eradicated, so in their heads the moment he turned into a demon he was no longer human thus they dont feel anything for him, the only ones who may would be his Family and those who were close to him.

I think most people have no idea who the demon was, or if they did, they didn't particularly know him. Or if they did, they don't know wtf to think about him suddenly becoming a demon.

Pardon me, murderous demon in the middle of rampaging. Could you stop trying to blow up the entire area for a few days, weeks, months, or even years so I can attempt to research a method for turning you back to normal?

Joking aside, no remorse? Read it again, Shin feels like crap about this even as everyone around him treat him like a hero. No attempt to reverse it or reason with him? Read it again, when Shin saw Kurt was still capable of talking he tried to talk to him. As for reversing it, Shin was frantically thinking about whether or not that was even physically possible, when Kurt decided to go full Majin Vegeta or whatever and try to blow up everything in the immediate vicinity with all his power. Which rolls us right back around to my initial joke I suppose.
