I like the part where she's the most talented warrior in the school too by a smidge, and she's freaking nine. Those two parts were just completely unnecessary salt in the wounds of all the other students haha. I mean even if she had 0's in all of her warrior stats, imagine the kind of bullshit level buff magic she could learn to cast. She would've already been stronger in melee combat stuff from that by leaps and bounds, but she has a foundation of high talent there too so the buffs would be even more spectacular on top of it.

This society can't exist.

Being unable to speak for yourself and your wants/needs/desires, and having a society that revolves around personal liberty is impossible; the two concepts are mutually exclusive.

Either you can, as a society, speak up for yourself, or... you naturally "go with the flow" by "reading the air" and "seeking group approval." Both are fine, but they are very different societal outlooks... and Only One of those allows for a society that has adventurers.

The "Japanese Society" option does NOT have boukensha (when Japan did have such things, society was... very different).

So... no way is this MC going to politely agree to be disowned by her parents, kicked out of her house, and then go practice something she dislikes simply because others want her to make them happy.

I mean... no fucking chance.
