@Oeconomist Even in the LN ? Unlike real life, you can make pretty crazy explanations in manga. Well i do hope we had a solid villain because it will boring soon enough, it's moslty the same case as Saitama but in OPM we had enough characters to work with and here we have so far not enough to long term.

I guess dimensional storage isn't always the same thing. Usually I think of it as a timeless and atmospherless (not a word but what ever) zone that no living thing can enter. Even if you could go into a timeless zone how would you exit as I'm pretty sure time needs to move forward for us to be able to move.

I can think of another instance of dimensional storage that was not only fine with putting living creatures in it, but that was pretty much all it was used for. Singularity and her enveloping shroud. I'm pretty sure when she put people in that pocket dimension, they just kind of float around in empty space that is somehow not suffocating them. I suppose she could've sucked some atmosphere into the space for them herself, to keep them from running out of air, but well. She's kind of uneducated, I don't think it would've occurred to her so it was either accidental that she grabbed air for them too or it wasn't necessary because of the nature of the pocket dimension.
