Y'all a fight doesn't mean they're heading towards a breakup. Couples fight, it's normal. This is good. Aya is expressing herself, if kinda of in a shitty way, but she's right, Mitsuki can't take status quos for granted. She should have learned that lesson in high school with the prom. Instead, like for many of us, she only learned it situationally and needs to relearn it in a new context.

And also this is not coming out nowhere.
It's also not the first time she's tried to deflect Aya's questioning with sex, post-timeskip.

I'm kinda excited about what's in store. These two are tight-knit. Fights and friction are absolutely natural in relationships, and honestly if they were just smooth sailing the whole time I'd question what was going on beneath the surface, because keeping it all bottled in like Mitsuki's been doing will lead to bigger problems down the line.

So yes. Aya is in the right here, trying to compel Mitsuki to talk to her. I'd argue she should have kept pushing instead of simply walking away, but it was also like...what, after 5am and she was out all night at a concert. I'd be blasted too from that and too exhausted to deal with whatever Mitsuki's actively trying to avoid in the moment. Go to sleep, "cooler heads prevail" come morning, etc.
I'm sure this will lead to the issues between them compounding before they get addressed and resolved, but this is the big plot point of the College Arc moving forward. Mitsuki's adrift regarding her music career and is understandably burnt out and scared over what the future has in store for her. Aya's stressed over college courses, and the two haven't made real time for one another because of their schedules and to-do lists.
Plus, we have Shu and Rinko showing up now, and I suspect they'll both be important narrative-wise in helping Aya & Mitsuki address things.

I really don't see this going the way of an actual break-up, because of the history and foundation between them...but ups&downs like this are a part of life, and offer chances to grow and reinforce relationships.
They just need to actually work through it together, haha

And this is why most romcoms don't even bother with a dating arc and just end at the confession

But hey, this way the author has an excuse for the spin off after they break up Red Yuri
I'm more excited for Tall Yuri (idk what color to give Mitsuki x Rinko yet they can keep blue 💙)

I assume the "out of no where" feeling is how weirdly paced and all over the chapters have been HELL this is the first time that the last few chapters were consistent to one timeline since idk the band incident. Like between the Incident - Shower Seggs - Date with Narita - Umbrella scene - and sick day THEY NEVER bothered to talk and between 2 of those scenes they seemed fine.

Also I'm on team Mitsuki here , she's the one struggling with finding bands and she felt like she let Aya down playing garbage music. I wanted to say this last chapter but Aya should've taken those tickets and went with Mitsuki just to cheer her up and talk about the incident instead she took Shu :pout: bad girlfriend if you ask me

Honestly I dont mind if Aya breaks up with her. Shes been patient and wanted Mitsuki to open up.

As Garnet said, your soulmate is your compliment, not your missing piece. Don’t work them to fix you.

For those of you who're saying "Just talk already": talking about traumatic experiences can be(and usually is) a hard thing to do, and a traumatic experience in itself, because you have to re-live a particular traumatizing event once again. Not to mention that opening up to another person, no matter how close they are, about your personal trauma can be(and usually is) an anxiety-inducing situation.
We have trauma therapy for that exact reason.

And, quite frankly, Aya, albeit unintentionally, is the reason for Mitsuki's trauma. For those of you, who forgot: Aya unexpectedly came to Mitsuki's concert while Mitsuki was stressing out about her appearance and standing in her band, leading to Mitsuki freezing on stage in front of a crowd and a sole person she didn't want to see her in that state. It's a miracle that they're still talking, really.

Look, I get it. Romance manga often insert utter nonsense drama because the author can't write for shit. But come on, this is fine. The manga's 4 pages per chapter, you gotta give it a bit of time to see if they deal with this conflict like real people or if it does go nowhere for way too long. So far I dare to say it's realistic.

Not totally sold on this chapter, Mitsuki is avoiding explaining but Aya can't just stop at the first silence and go away. It doesn't help much if she doesn't insist...sometimes is not that the partner doesn't want to share, it feels "empty" and blocked and need reassurance before opening up

Huh? What are they fighting for? Lately it seems like the author is inserting drama in unnatural ways, I don't like it...
The author has been setting it up since the beginning of this arc. While some chapters were still cozy, it was obvious from the others that Mitsuki’s trauma was putting a strain on their emotional closeness. She was also shown using physical intimacy to defuse the tension during those moments, even though that only serves as a temporary delay mechanism.

The problems were piling up - for example, they went to different parties because Aya feels like she can’t even bring up the subject. The issue becomes even bigger because of the large role music played in forming their relationship. And yet again, Mitsuki is trying to distract Aya with sex to avoid confrontation. Aya had to put her foot down at some point, and we've reached that point.

While we are not at the level of breakup, this is a genuine issue, and if Aya doesn't stop avoiding communicating, it may end up breaking them apart.

The 4 pages per week really doesn't sell it the best, but I agree it doesn't feel exactly the same as the3 unnecessary "further the plot" drama in most, if not all Yuri manga. It feels like this fight has been set up well IMO.

i dont get why people are saying this problem seems out of nowhere, relationships are bound to have problems and not be a perfect fairytale. Mitsuki just needs to get over their insecurity and have a proper conversation with Aya
There's no way people have been talking about the elephant in the room for forever only to act surprised now. That would be lunacy. It's probably just a few people not paying attention. I can't believe otherwise.

As for this chapter: it's been building up to this and now has come. As expected it's not some major dramatic breakup but a reasonable confrontation from Aya. Mitsuki has been avoidant and Aya realized that would happen again, so she took herself to bed to communicate how serious she is about this to Mitsuki. The conversation is coming and they both know it. I'm wondering now if they'll talk with their friends first for advice before Mitsuki is ready to really sit down with Aya, or if she'll be ready by the morning.

I understand the frustration but gurl at least give her more than half a second to think about it, if she doesn't have an answer ready it could mean that she tries not to think about it as well, she's running from the answer as well not just hiding it from you

I wonder what that was at the end? Looking forward to the next chapter to find out. Thanks for the chapter and translation
