I don't think talking is gonna happen at all. It might be a stretch but if you catch what Aya's brother said. He said Mitsuki played him the theme song to his favorite show. Now if I recall Mitsuki quit the guitar entirely After the band incident. If she's playing the guitar now that means that Mitsuki and Aya probably talked off screen or from the festival date to the last chapter they decided to move on. Of course that's me speculating cause he also says "a while back" but I mean based on the way these chapters go hell if I know when that would've been

Yes very randos just like Aya's new friends. But it's realistic so you have to care about these randos or you'll miss the very important details. Surely they'll be important to Aya and Mitsuki and aren't filler characters whatsoever.

I think these current chapters would be going over much better if we had actually seen the "firsts" of their full relationship. Thats what people actually want when they say they want series to continue on past the confession. Yet we fast forwarded past everything, first time sleeping together, choosing that flat, Mitsuki leaving the record store, Uni choice, those band mis-adventures, first shift at the new job, actually growing closeness anything, everything.

Those things might seem irrelevant at this point but really what we got instead hasn't exactly been thrilling stuff. Perhaps if we had gotten a little more of the basic new couple exciting stuff it would re-frame what we are being shown now with them failing to approach each others deficiencies. This does not feel like the same couple who left high school together and maybe if we'd seen whats happened over the past couple of years it would make a little more sense? At least it would add even the slightest amount of fore-shadowing and build up.

This. Along with the person who said no narrative flow. I gotta say with all these new characters this time jump has spawned, did Aya’s friends just disappear off the face of the earth? I don’t even remember them being mentioned once since the time skip, which is honestly expected atp with how the manga treats its characters.
They couldve been used as a way for Aya to talk about her and mitskis relationship, highlight her own friendships outside of mitski, and show a bit of her friends personality and how they handle the situation. But the way the conflict and characters have been brought up since the band arc feels so shallow and manufactured to suit the plot.
The brother’s friends go introduced in the very chapter a new conflict surrounding them was introduced, which makes them feel like narrative devices to cover conflicts of homophobia.
The other two new characters sole purpose is to crush on Aya and mistki, these new characters aren’t actually characters with their own personality, they’re plot devices.

Kana and Joe were great examples of adding characters that bring something to the story and feel like natural additions, I had no complaints about ch that focused more on them.
Sorry to the narrative geniuses who gobble all of this up, but all of what this manga is trying to do can be appreciated if done well, some don’t like it cuz the writing is pretty clumsy at times.

I don't really see where everyone is getting homophobia from here in the comments, all I see is a couple of kids remarking on something unusual. Which it is, I mean I think the statistics are that around 10% of people are gay, so it's not something a kid this age would likely have encountered before probably. This just seems less like homophobia as in "I think you are disgusting and I will beat you up in the shower at PE for looking at me and make sure you're socially ostracized because I hate you", and more like,, idk, just kids going "oh wtf i thought girls only dated boys"
