I'm going to guess it's Closer or, even worse, Happiness in Slavery (that MV was very controversial at the time it came out because... well it had full frontal nudity). The Director's Cut of Closer also has full frontal nudity, but this is not the MV you would've seen on MTV or what have you. Strangely enough, the Director's Cut version is more easy to find than the original censored version.

I forget which music video it was by NIN, but one of them had the final shot where they tied the camera to a balloon and it got away from them and they couldn't recover it. Some farmer or something discovered it days/weeks later and looked at the film and was so freaked out by it he called the cops or something thinking human sacrifices were going on.

I just watched a vid of that guitar spin - why would Mitsuki be so insistent he can't do it? Like, that would take some practice, and the right shoe/floor combination, but it looks entirely achievable

...it's just her projecting her insecurities about being unable to be successful as an artist onto a kid who points at a successful musician and says "I want to do that", isn't it?

Their place is pretty small and Aki is short enough still that Mitsuki's guitar would probably be awkward for him, so I think it's like 70% not wanting him to go crashing into things and only like 30% projection.

Fall Out Boy are already nearly impossible to understand when English is your first language, imagine how incomprehensible they must be to a Japanese ear. Then again, Nirvana can't be much different.
