Art is excellent, story is well written with likeable characters that act more or less like actual human beings.
It's even being translated by people who seem to give half a damn about what they're doing.
It's not often you see all this come together in a manhua so beautifully.
While it is set in what is effectively your usual xianxia cultivation world, the story really isn't about that so you're safe if that isn't your thing. Less seeking ultimate power and more character drama.

This is good BUT it’s not my taste. Great art absolutely stunning most Chinese works always excel in this department however the story, well it’s not my cup of tea. I was wanting some good old fashioned anger and murder. The title implies revenge maybe even some craziness in her personality but in the end she’s just some soft girl the author tried to make powerful and scary but failed. Most people would like this but the story isn’t coherent enough to capture my attention and the mc is too nice and doesn’t even actually do what the title claims.
Not actually. It was never implied she was a bad person, her world see her as bad bcs she killed the thing that world exists for, the ML. She is a soft person, the world and mechanics paint her as a villainess for not following the rules of it, not because she is unhinged. And she DID kill the previous ML and already had her revenge. Her goals are other things. She killed the ML, and became the villainess, just like the title implies, literally in the first chapter.
The story is very coherent, especially for a manhua, but it's still unfinished, so obviously there are some holes to be filled.
Buuut, since you said it's a matter of taste, then that's it. You don't like and that's ok.

I don’t like the translation as “villainess” since from my prior experience “villainess” seems more like a bully type character who uses wealth and fame to pick on people below them. Furthermore, the original chinese is “女魔头” which translates more to “female demon lord” which also seems more fitting with her learning these dark arts and whatnot.
