@abderahimemokri As I suspected, the original Japanese title, 兄を想い弟を想い, is so different from the Chinese translation. This is why I no longer translate from retranslations, because they are not as reliable, especially for Chinese translations. I used to translate from Chinese translations last time for Pokemon Special, but then when I started helping to translate Jinmen, being able to access both the Chinese translations and the original Japanese raws helped me realise that Chinese translations aren't exactly very reliable.

@abderahimemokri Jinmen is another manga. Unfortunately the scanlations stopped at chapter 11 because the team couldn't handle it. Meanwhile, Chinese scans are up to chapter 78, while the Japanese raws are up to chapter 109, last updated 8 months ago.

And how the hell did the Chinese translators get 一心嚮往吧 強烈渴求吧 from 強く焦がれ 強く焦がれ??? I suspect that this is what caused the /a/nonymous translator to translate the phrase 強く焦がれ 強く焦がれ into "strong love, strong desire..." compared to MangaPillar's "Burning brightly... Burning brightly..." which I will credit for at least translating from the original rather than retranslating from the Chinese translation, although I would translate it as "strongly burning, strongly burning" instead.

焦がれ translates to yearning, longing, being in love with. The kanji 焦 alone stands for burning/scorching. MangaPillar translated wrong (they also used this group's cleaned raws without permission and pawned it off as theirs).

The chapter uses 焦がれ, not 焦がれる. Compare the two, you'll see that 焦がれ appears to have a more limited definition than 焦がれる.

@Maiorem that's true but 焦がれ can also be a masu-stem form of 焦がれる. Taking away the ru won't lose it's meaning.
It makes more sense to go with desire here with how it references to the previous chapter where Koku says everyone yearns for Yoriichi's talent where the exact same kanji is used.
