Edit: Regrettable early comment, but I’ll say more so it’s not as weird. Unsurprisingly, I really like the scene where she almost lets it all out. Kinda reminds me of that Oshi no Ko scene where Kana is shown to have an obsession with acting itself. This being manga is kinda difficult for me to fully get Oogami’s plight. The description of her voice is slightly helpful, but it’s still pretty difficult. I like the visual language of the chains around Oogami and I wonder if the breaking them will be permanent or if she’ll find them around herself again. I can’t wait to see the day she’s more confident in herself.

It may also help to remember that Japan's kind of obsessed with cute. Most high school girls (and young women) try to be cute at almost all costs. (For example, at least for a while high school-aged and young women were deliberately standing pigeon-toed because it was cute. That wasn't good for their backs, though.) Even though the teasing seems to mainly be in the past, it caused a lot of emotional damage to the point Haru is kind of obsessed that her voice isn't cute and doesn't appreciate it for what it is: a lovely singing voice.

It'll probably take more than what happened this chapter to get her to break the chains permanently. Deep-seated doubts and fears like that don't go away quickly or easily. I find it really interesting that when she did break the chains that she went from small and timid like a mouse to a bit scary and dangerous looking, like a wolf. Could be she's repressing that behavior for the same reason: it's not cute.

It's the same artist so it's not that surprising. (it would be cool if this story was set in the same universe as that manga)
