Expected hina to be eaten and the other girl to to be left alone. or for one of them to be left alone. Somewhat happy ending for those two, shame about the rest of humanity.
Thanks for translating this.
My best guess about the ending was that that WAS her dad and as to not go back to her old life and as revenge for all the abuse she went through, she personally killed him.
EDIT: I just realized it's a short story about two cute girls who turn into monsters, literally and figuratively
I feel like it needed just a few more panels for a better ending, but I guess it wasn't a bad ending? Basically everything went to shit, and they're still going along with their plan looking for people to feed off of. Also "wouldn't hold a grudge" Bitch I'd haunt your ass so bad you'd want to jump out a window and Hina wouldn't be able to stop you
It's a simple story, but such a great read - creepy and sick, yet cheerful and dazzling.
I'm actually glad most things remained unexplained, it gives freedom for interpretation without polluting the story with unnecessary drama.
10/10

Please consider making a group on MD so I can follow it, since your picks are rather great.
@sirflimflam it was her dad. She was visibly shocked to see him, but not in a happy way.
"It can't be..." and "ah, got it" - I think in that moment she had some unpleasant realization and made her decision.
My guess, Hina had to deal with some fucked up shit at home that made her the way she is now.
There was an old photo of her, where she doesn't have this creepy smile.
The "domestic violence" joke.
And how she was on the streets during the night.
Not my cup of tea ending, was hoping to see maki get more against it and hina have to do more extreme things to keep her crush alive against her will, but the first 5 chapters is still some of the best psychological thriller i've read and i don't regret reading it one bit, loved it even despite the fall off softball ending!
