@KazumaLee94 I think Minori's just the type to value friendship over romantic relationships, which is why she's fine with Tarou being with Umi, but got mad when he implied that she was less important because she's *just* a friend.
This is only conjecture though.

As others have already said, this chapter really felt all over the place. Really hoping this "quest" wraps up next chapter and doesn't get dragged out.

Woah, people feel really strongly about this chapter. All four of them are making bad decisions, but every one of them has a point. You know, like any bunch of teenagers. Minori's only looking sane here because she got most of her bad decisions done before the story.

Would their problems be solved if they talked it out? Yeah. Would that make for a better manga? Eh. Is that what you want? 4 panels of them talking this shit out and The End? Do you think that would sell and make this popular? Stop reading if this is not your cup of tea smh

Tarou feels very like an emotionally stunted child, just the ways he goes through his emotions and his severe dependence on Umi just feels like him having Umi as the only mental support he has,
and considering how his childhood went, him seeing his grandma die in 100 days, him telling his parents about it but they don't believe him (this could be the cause of why he insists on doing everything himself but could also not be), and Umi just forcefully pulling him out of the depressive episode he had when he locked himself away could explain his overdependence on Umi.
On another note, this situation just feels a bit too forceful on Umi's part, I get that she has good intentions, but this just feels too aggressive of an approach to handling what could be called Tarou's mental illness.
