That might had been the reason Mimi was always left separated from the others. Idk what Fran-sensei is trying to accomplish putting her in school and even meddling in her relationships, like putting her to fight Seiran.
Will we finally discover that Shiina is actually powerful? I mean, that withered flower recovered instantly after her touch, which didnt seem like it meaningless mostly for someone that constantly says shes powerless.

With that said, maybe this is also the first time Mimi has experienced loss on a personal level, since she hasn't been so close like this with anyone else in her long existence. Character development, not the kind we'd want to see, but the kind we definitely need.
