Whilst the school seems to try and maintain a baseline sense of decorum and detente, the girls from the Ruri class come from hugely wealthy, influential, and powerful families. Any one of those girls could completely obliterate one of the Ai girl’s lives or the lives of their family. For instance, an influential father leaning on local council to shut down or deny permits to a certain late night cafe that employs dangerous teenage girls.

You're definitely right but the girls from Ai class are the normal girls, girls from Ruri class are the high-class ones.

if Yuka actually wanted to be by Nanase's side happily, the right and responsible thing to do is to grow some backbone and tell those stupid girls from Ruri class to stop looking down/belittle/fearing the girls from Ai class or at least tell them that Nanase is a good person that Yuka actively wants to stay by her side.
