The fact that the shitty rival got so thoroughly blocked from messing with them here makes me think she'll do something worse later. Maybe plant evidence to 'confirm' Mitsuki as a Destructive Delinquent or otherwise mess with the crazy class trial subplot. the issue is the ongoing "scandal" involving Mitsuki and that property damage dispute. She (the childhood friend chick) already publicly stated that she wouldn't just buy into what others were saying and would only believe what she could verify.

I suspect she'll use that and the existing class divide to try and set Mitsuki up in some way, either by framing her for some new bit of damage/incident that she herself causes, and since she's already shown herself to not be "someone who just goes along" to two of the Upper Caste students, she's got that bit of cred as someone who wouldn't necessarily be doing this as part of that group.

The one that I truly hope doesn't bite if something does come up, is Yuka herself.

But it feels like there's multiple threads that might come together between the Trial, the Culture Festival, the Class Divide, the CHF's obvious animosity toward Mitsuki, and Mitsuki's own bad reputation among the Upper Caste students - and something big could potentially pop off involving all of it.

I am so glad Yuka followed her away from the table, and then managed to get away and go home with Mitsuki at the end there. She realizes she's being a bit of an idiot, and while I wish she'd just speak up (Mitsuki too, for that matter), I'm glad they've gotten this far.

I'm sure Miu didn't do that on purpose, but unintentional wingwomaning for the Main Pair is welcomed, regardless. never mind, got my characters mixed up and somehow confused Marin being a bit tone deaf about Mitsuki's eyebags earlier in the chapter with Miu stopping the CHF from trying to get between Yuka and Mitsuki leaving together.

I'm thinking the CHF isn't just some weird gatekeeping "prove you're good enough for my friend" type, but genuinely is mad that some chick is taking her Yuka away like this. Which, I personally am less-annoyed by (the Gatekeeper is a godsawful gimmick), but I do worry over what lengths she'll go to in trying to separate Mitsuki and Yuka.

Now if only Yuka would clue in a bit and realize that, just like she was jealous, clearly the way the CHF is acting might be giving her Nanase-senpai the same impression, and maybe tell CHF to at least tone it down a bit and force that particular plot point forward.

That's also me somehow mixing up what Marin and Miu contributed to the chapter (hence mixing their names together, as well) - and Marin's comments about Mitsuki's eye bags displaced Miu's stopping the CHF from further interfering in the timeline of the chapter for me.

I mean, I hate the miscommunication trope almost the most out of all the bad yuri tropes, but at least these goobers are able to read each other really well and forgive easily. And the childhood friend really is barking up the wrong tree here: Yuka is not interested in her in that way at all, all of the friends would play obstruction to the ends of the earth for our main pair, and I doubt Yuka would believe any falsehood anyone would make about Mitsuki.

And as for the scandal? I doubt very much that that will amount to anything but an arc of drama and disruption. The President is almost fully on Mitsuki’s side and, although Mitsuki seems very willing to take the blame upon herself, Yuka would not let her do that to herself in a million years.

Also the little girl at the soda stand was definitely chapter MVP cutting through all the bullshit and getting to the heart of the matter 🥰

I like the way the CHF character was written so far tbh, she is mad and possesive for someone that not even her lover or family and thats weird, but from the previous chapter, I think she is someone reasonable and won't do the typical "villainous rival" to mitsuki. That hug at the end was soo cute tho blessed my whole day

I won't mind the cliché drama, if this is what jp readers like then let it be drama, I just hope this won't got exed because jp readers think its "boring"

Gotta love when the miscommunication trope ends in both parties understanding they were being silly in a human, normal way! It was scary a few chapters back seeing those easy and unoriginal tropes but the story is flowing greatly, it feels good to read !!! Can't wait for the drama to really start
