I feel like ponytail girl is in her own spinoff tho i guess it'd be tedious for the mangaka to do multiple series lol
the account is suspicious tho lack of using names aside you'd think an account that's just numbers would be flagged as a bot
Is the face at the end realizing she's the one behind the 'alt' account or the sick girl, if not that one 'victim' (tho i don't think she'd obviously 'like' a post or so even if she's just stalking an accuount)
I mean even if kanae's account is private, i'd assume Instagram likes are public? (did you make an account just to comment on this thread lol)

I get the vibe that the author somewhat regrets the fun-van event, or at least the intensity of Kanae's involvement.
The manga became way more contemplative especially after the hiatus, and the evidence of author's h-manga origins, like fanservice has all but disappeared. The van scene now feels so out of place that it's like it happened in a totally different manga (it was in fact almost totally lifted from one of her h-doujins). I think people mostly hate Kanae due to her initially one-dimensional charactization, which probably came from the author still being in tourture porn-mode lol.
Again, as a Kanae stan, I must commend her for continuing to try and improve herself, and Tomiko continues to win the awesome friend award lol.
Anyway, I very much suspect Riko being behind the mystery spam account, just because of Tomiko's reaction.
If Tomiko were to betray Kanae, Riko is pretty much the only cause I could think of.

I feel like this manga was better when it was full-on bpd insanity with kanae's mental state driving her off a cliff all the time, felt more authentic. Now the tone and story beats seem more crafted and 'deliberate' but it doesnt feel like it's bakaudon's voice. It's more like a typical school drama.

either they got an extension or they're putting off the ending, assuming they're still getting a decent amount per chapter i can imagine an author dragging it out but maybe she wrote the 'beginning' without a plan and doesn't know how to circle back around to it, unless an editor told them to tone it down but i feel like going full bpd again would just lead her back into the cycle of hitting up more sugar daddies, it's a miracle she hasn't gotten an std or pregnancy scare yet unless they did properly have protected sex if not choosing married men that'd be more 'careful' about cheating
That's one way for her to be back in the plot again, but i would've expected her to be self absorbed with like stealing her sister's bf and other stuff to rly care about the school's friend group to mess with Kanae either (unless she somehow finds out she was the reason for the other girl becoming a shut in), i don't particularly riko disliking kanae as much as the original bully girl but i have a shit memory so /shrug (but there's not rly anything suspicious about 'liking' posts considering they already know each other, it might come off as slightly spammy but it'd make sense there'd be likes from your own friend group/acquaintances or so, as opposed to say, her account being locked, and someone else taking screenshots and sending it to a third party, not that kanae's really posted anything too revealing about herself in that account)
