It feels like Runa is the first one to crack and backstab Kanae. I assumed it was gonna be Riko. I don't know how she thinks Kanae is "cute" when she is VERY anxious personality. No one has commented about her looks before too. I get the whole "hot = crazy scale" for Kanae.

Yay thank you for anotber chapter of my personal fave manga!!!
I am struck by just how...intensely and cynically analytical these girls are! It's kind of wild to me. I really don't think I thought this hard about social dynamics when I was their age lol.
I'm actually glad we're getting deep dives into the other girls, though Tomiko took a bit longer than needed imo.
Good to see an update on Ichika canon or not! Poor thing, the bottom line of the story is that society has no mercy on the anxious!

Runa, the "normal" of the bunch, it's understable that she have anxiety over a self-proclaimed cutie, a fatso and the new pet of the group, breaking out of the mold and the status quo of an unstable group is really hard.

We already know that Kanae has emotional dependency issues and low self-esteem, and that her family is too dysfunctional, and it's a bit unfair to compare her to Runa, who has a passive personality, but still, she wants to change and be praised for it, she's practically shouting "look at me, I'm trying!", without needing to trample on others, like the rest of them have done at least once (in the Kanae's case, more than once).

Being a teenager is not easy. "Looking for other friends", "join a club" and/or "finding hobbies" is not for everyone, it depends on each person's personality.

Runa's trying her best to be NPC but with a bonus of trashtalking somehow felt both irritated and make sense but atleast she starts to have some changes i guess
Kanae's yandere personality show up at the end kinda foreshadow things gonna go bad soon lol

Another Wattpad style garbage story

1. MC is a neurotic crazy girl whose completely unremarkable (except the unique thing this time is being BATSHIT FUCKING INSANE who definitely has BPD)

2. The main male MC, her crush being a tall athlete jock who sleeps around with women and ruins them and doesn't know what love is but "wants to change" for the MC. At least he is a bit decent compared to similar characters in these kinds of stories, they are even worse usually.

3. An orbiting friend who is jealous of the so called crush and functions as the emotional crutch for the fem MC whenever she messes up but seethes and starts a love triangle and in this case smashes the shoulder of the main male MC (usually in these stories the Fem-MC leaves the main crush for this guy after realizing he is not fixable)

4. Literally no one having virtues and morals and fucking around left and right, betraying each other left and right, concept of loyalty to friends or to partner out of the fucking window. If you can't do it either you are portrayed as unattractive (the girl in the friend group) or have no social skills (new vice president of baseball club)

5. Extreme toxicity all around, actually good characters are non-existent (and don't call it realism because cmon there are decent people in this world that don't behave even closely to the characters in this trainwreck of a manga). And I mean it, there is not a single decent character.

6. The plot, like, what the fuck is the plot even anymore?

and finally add in a smidge of edginess to truly stand out with good old SA, violence and whatever else turned up to 100%, typical of these kinds of stories, so that it "stands out" (it doesn't).

And I am the biggest retard for reading this entire story based off of a recommendation from the beginning because this is like a car crash that you can't take your eyes off from even though you know whats happening and what will happen. At least I am now finally free.

At least the art is good but thats probably the only thing it has going for it. Also maybe a small bit of grim realism that actually happens in social situations in real life but is overshadowed by the other garbage mentioned.

the non canon bonus sketch at the end (page 34) is the best you're gonna get lol, i don't think the author cares enough to make her 'relevant' again , esp since she's focusing on that ribbon/ponytail girl now too
