Yeah I feel you, some very much bullshit convenient development here. I can believe the thread of legal prosecution for his act of "self defense" since the law can very delicate on those subjects. But that kind of backlash against him??? I get that the internet can be a fucked up place but definitely not to this extent considering the circumstances. Like first off all, are we forgetting that there is another stabbed person that was indeed stabbed first??? Not to count that there were at least another 5 more witnesses If it is making the new then complete coverage must have been given to everyone involved in the accident there is enough actors to clear this situation and it makes no sense that everyone is basing their opinion on only this one photo.

If something bad happened and your name is involved in it, even though you're innocent, better shut off your social media accounts until everything is clearly settled. You can never guess how much of a self-important, morally myopic, and judgmental someone in the internet can get and how quickly a mob mentality grows and spreads. Don't let yourself be depressed over the opinions of people who know nothing about you and what's really happening.

It's unfair and depressing, but this is the kind of world we're living in today.

[ul]MC has no prior connection to, or contact, with his attacker
Likely no previous criminal offense
Was slashed himself in the middle of running for his life. Again, away from the attacker
Stabbed him in retaliation while on the ground, making aiming extremely difficult
Multiple eyewitnesses to testify
"M-Maybe, he had intention to kill"
Murderer
[/ul]
There is no court on Earth that would have anything close to a sure conviction against self-defense under such extenuating circumstances. This is just for drama's sake in a very infuriating way. It doesn't create empathy for the protagonist as all it does is test the stupidity of the background characters. The part about death threats on the internet is very believable though. There are some hella stupid and judgemental cunts on social media. Some who bandwagon just for malicious entertainment.

*arata also got stabbed by the victim with multiple witnesses, showing clearly that the victim had the intent to kill*
"I'm going to pretend that didn't happen."

urgh... it starts so well and it become like this, the MC and the girl have a chance to talked it out "right after the incident" and even now the MC did not know that the stalker is her brother. Really what a waste of premise.

lol at the people thinking this doesn't happen all the time. You have probably fallen for one.

Just last year, one of the most high profile legal and reputational hitjobs got railroaded by media and social media pressure despite lacking any basis in an objective court of law.
