I thought I was done crying for the main manga last night but here I am.

A lot of people may think about this being healthy or unhealthy but I think this should be considered normal. Longing is a human nature. Longing for someone that "gave her life to you" for you tu be happy is sooo deep and so relatable even when you didn't experience it first hand.

She seems happy. It seems like she needed to fulfill her and Kaori's last wish before really trying to move on. We all know it was a deep wish to have engagement ring, a wish Kaori couldn't afford to say in her situation. I'm sure Shizuku will start moving on from now on. Even if it slowly.

I like this ending better than just finishing with the other one. Thank you for making me cry a final time for them. I love you author, stay healthy.

This is a good closure, though I hope Shizuku will move on someday; we can't keep getting stuck in the same place forever, after all.

Just fuck my shit up, fam. What an amazing series this was. It perfectly depicted the deep, sometimes even beautiful meaning you can find even in tragedy.

2x gut punches after the main series ending. Shizuku fixated on Kaori, looking across with longing across a gap that can't be crossed by any human. Still being changed by the experience of that summer but not necessarily being best buds with the other people she encountered. Randomly read this on a whim looking for more yuri after a fluffy series like WataNare and got hit with a left hook, great series though.

I somehow missed this one...This one hits especially home for me. I lost my lover in a tragic event, and find myself much like Shizuku. Years go by, you meet others, find things you enjoy, but there is always a hole in your heart which only they can fill. It no longer bleeds, but you want to share things with them. Telling them your experiences, saying jokes you think would make them laugh, and feel a deep seeded fear of forgetting them one day even though you know you never could. It is not a life of suffering, but a life of missing them and so wanting to share tour life going forward with them. That is what we want. For our happiness to be shared with them so we can close our eyes, see their smile, open them again, then take that step forward carrying their memory ever forward...

After I read this, I had to reread the final chapter to make sure of something. That something being whether Shizuku still loving Kaori and proposing to her grave at all contradicted Kaori’s wishes.

Having reread the chapter, I wouldn’t say they do, but I also wouldn’t say Shizuku is being healthy about this.

It having been five years, I don’t think Shizuku should be holding onto Kaori this close, however I should acknowledge that people grieve at their own speeds, so my point does lie moot there.

Other than that, this addition is still quite sweet if bitter. I like it a lot.
