I don’t wanna rein on the wholesome moment that just happened but I never understood the “if you can’t forgive yourself, I’ll forgive you” cliche line I hear all the time...

Thank you for the chapter! It was so sweet-- Kurumi really needed this chapter's character development ( TT v TT)

For me, when my therapist said something similar to me, it made me realize that it was ok to forgive myself for that mistake. I had never told anyone what I felt I had done wrong so I never learned that it was something forgivable.

Wow, I guess that Sawako's overly kind nature unintentionally caused Ume to become overly guilt ridden.

Feels 😭 this is why I love this and the original so much. realistic and relatable characters going through everyday live and figuring out their emotions.

awwww that was nice. I actually liked Ume more than Sawako as MC. Ume is a more unique take since she's naturally pretty and confident.

I had no idea there was a sequel to the original story- so excited! 🥰

Thank you translating this and for the update 😊

I get that this is fiction but this kinda depicts why I have a problem with the "cancel culture". It doesn't take into consideration that people CAN and DO change.

It's not really overly guilt-ridden? Ume did a lot of truly horrible things over the previous few years they she's trying to unpack so as to not fall back into her old ways. But! Forgiveness is part of that rebuilding process. Forgiveness from those she's hurt is important -- and she's had a surplus of that -- but it doesn't work if she isn't the first to forgive her past self. The kindness she's receiving won't help with healing until she lets it.

And she just might finally be doing that.
