I suspected this had more going on beneath the mask, but I admit I'm glad it's not all just shits and giggles and pointy teeth. The premise just screams that there's a reason that she's always wearing her mask, and if the author can juggle the heavier stuff with the cute and airy interactions and cutesy flirting, then all the better for proving their range.

The art's just amazing, though. I cannot get over the pacing of panels and close-ups of jewelry and whatnot.
