That seems like an unnecessarily harsh interpretation. I think she noticed that he was growing his hair out, and it felt like a sign that he was moving on.

It's a 16 yo girl. Everyone in a high school is emotionally immature in higher or lesser degree. And yeah, she seems superficial, but like tons of people are. So what's the problem here exactly? She didn't do anything that awful, she dumped her more of a hook than a boyfriend, realized what her type is and had a nice conversation that cleared out some things. No fuss, no drama. I don't know why are you guys expecting a Jane Austen character out of a very secondary character in a manga that its main focus could be considered a fetish.

Ultimately these two had a dysfunctional facade of a relationship at best.

If the person you like tells nobody that you are together and makes you do the same, then you are not a couple. Period.

I can’t think of any good reason for this kind of arrangement. The MC isn’t even the stereotypical “loser outcast”. He’s well-liked in general and has friends.

I can only imagine that this girl has multiple of these secret “boyfriends”, hoping one would become someone she’d “go public” with eventually. She just dumped one under-performer from her roster.

• just wanted to have everyone see them getting along so she couldn’t be blamed as the villain later if people found out that they used to date?
• is just an airhead that doesn’t understand that he was actually really hurt by the breakup

She made sure that nobody knew about their relationship for how long? Don’t go pretending that she cares about his feelings now.

He did NOT want to talk to her again. Being treated like everything should be fine and that she didn’t break his heart was painful for him. That was pretty clear.

Without getting her PoV it’s impossible to know what her intentions were. I’m inclined to believe she’s good natured, but also an idiot and emotionally under-developed.

What a pleasant feeling being able to read and enjoy a cute mangá like this one without suffering from these same mental healthy issues like you dudes.

I’m more inclined to agree with those who say she didn’t give much thought to the interaction, since she didn’t hesitate for a second to end things with him, without caring too much about the protagonist’s feelings. That said, she’s obviously not a criminal or a terrible person, but she doesn’t seem to be as emotionally intelligent as some people try to make her out to be.

Okay let's see where it goes, entirely depend upon the author. But I don't think there will be any drama or depth in the story at all, it will go into simple predictable category of modern highschool romances, hopefully remains non harem.

You're not wrong about dysfunctional facade now that I think about it. Making the relationship a secret does bring them to a downside

MC focusing on his ex's ponytail was interesting, like the bounce and practicality of the style is charming but ultimately purely functional. Same with his musing about the buzzcut - they're both necessitated by activity, while he realizes now how much he prefers the artistry.

It's cool to see a "sports character who secretly likes art" but with an art form that many see as common.

What the word "whore" means?

Back in my days it used to mean a woman who had sex with lots of people, that wasn't faithful, that just enjoyed the sex (something that mind broke the poor deluded romantic man unable to live the same carefree life). But today I see people using the word in ways that don't match the meaning.

"She didn't even held his hand? What a whore!".



I guess is a modern slang kids these days use, to imply "something else"...
