i dunno, i feel like clinging onto someone's arm is even 'more' than holding a hand lol/give them the wrong idea of intimacy/more flirty tho i'd imagine there'd be specific rules on what 's allowed during rental gf dates
i imagine there's not any rules against it but i feel like ppl would cater exclusively to one sexuality unless it's too niche to where the 'normal' rental service has to occasionally accept the same gender client once in a while (despite that one mangaka having a lesbian brothel manga)
i can also see ppl wanting to 'rent a friend' too like how there was a live action of 'rental hito' which was also a manga tho i don't think anyone TL'd it
you'd think there'd be a conflict of interest doing this as a 'side hustle' if ur an office worker but i guess it's not as 'bad/frowned upon' as a straight up soapland
maybe it'll be a huge love hexagon or so/she'll end up being 'popular' accepting more female dates or so
