Every year is good for the slop and bad for the more ambitious series... Though we might be hearing about it more often lately because some creators ask fans for help before the cancellation. I think it's a good trend, even if we will not be able to save every series either way.

This like princess of sylph """""""""""suffers""""""""" from the slow burn (this more than it) which is prob why the sales are low, as amazing as the art is we are 2 vols in and still introducing starter characters in a series that is monthly(?) making it so it feels like a tiring read, which while i agree i think the pay-offs the author makes for said buildup are def worth the wait

With that said i find this reasoning a consumerist one rather than an artistic one, even if against your comfort a good work should not be shunned, and as a free reader i'll offer my financial support in hopes that it matters

I bought both volumes as soon as I first saw the artist tweet it was gonna get axed if sales don't improve
I really need this story to keep going
It's so perfect to me
Forever will I praise how dynamically Emoda Kiki captures the characters, especially their facial expressions
And looking through my copy of volume 2... It just gets better and better
I eagerly sit in anticipation for the next eng chapter release :]

I want to believe, and I will pick up a physical copy, but I have a feeling this series is probably cooked, or at the very least I don't think Western fans will save it - it didn't even get too much attention here despite that banger of the first chapter and the subsequent ones that were also really good...

Yeah I don't know if this one can be saved. I might be wrong but it also doesn't seem like the author and artist are actively promoting it on SNS the way most authors/artists do. For some reason.

This is probably doomed, unfortunately. The licensing announcement was likely the final nail in the coffin, because anglophone manga readers have absolutely no idea how anything works and will assume it's safe now.
