This is so dramatic but I don't hate it. Usually I don't like the know-it-all characters who are there solely to push the others forward, but she's not bad. I am still worried she is still just a plotline pusher. I hope she has her own struggles and part of the story beyond this.

I am very interested about what's going to with with the two MC. Who's going to start feeling inferior over the other? What's the development going to be for these two? Will this actually be Yuri?! lol After this week I am skeptical about the Yuri genre now.

I assume your talking about My New Friend Wasn't What I Expected? Well you're in luck, because this is published in the same online magazine as Managing a Wild Idol, and while that series doesn't have the Yuri tag, despite the extremely strong subtext, This series does have the Yuri tag.

Wow, very intense manga. I'm liking the development although it does feel forced with the plot-device troupe leader. I know sales aren't hot so this might be the only way to close things out properly in time.

Yeah you guessed right. I think I have to do more due diligence and check tags on mangaupdates. That one hurt 🤕. Well it's good that this one is legitimately tagged as Yuri. I like it.

I don't really see why, she already holds pretty much that exact opinion, is very self-deprecating about herself and had nothing but praise for Sakura (and it's not like they're "competing", they're working together ). Tsubame so far seems much more focused on some kind of conflict about "being yourself", whatever that means exactly not really about becoming the best actor ever. At least that's my reading for now.

Something interesting I noticed the second time is on page 12, that silhouette opposite of Tsubame seems like someone else, maybe someone specific she's been emulating so far? Or maybe I just don't recognize something from the story so far (I don't think it's the "volunteer student" disguise they used at the very least).

heart aching in advance for when hiiragi picks up on mai-sans thoughts about sakura being "real" and then getting angsty about it - i can feel the self loathing monologue already

but if that were to happen (which i dont think it would be intentional or mean hearted from mai-sans part) i bet sakura would find strength in the power of loveee to bolster hiiragis confidence again 😭😭😭
