Since we only ever see this version of him, it really feels like he snapped somewhere during the earlier resets. My guy is completely unhinged to be acting out over romance or maybe he was just crazy from the start.

tbf, he did revived many times already. Who knows? Maybe he started to not take things seriously after the 30th retry?

For example, we starts to lose focus after dying so much in game, so he probably did the same thing too (well,in his case, it's still extreme)
