I mean, if Yuzuki is going to keep acting like a doormat… I jest, I’m not judging either of them too harshly.

Considering what Hinata is trying to prevent, I can understand why she‘d go through such lengths, even if it comes with some risks for her. It’s like, even if Yuzuki shuts her down and leaves Hinata looking like a fool after what she told those people, at least Yuzuki learned to stand up for herself a bit. And if she does end up going along with it, maybe she can learn to express herself more. It may not be enough to save her, but it could be a step in the right direction.

I also get Hinata‘s seeming inconsistency when her stuff was stolen. From Yuzuki’s perspective, it looks like a massive deal when you compare it to manipulative friends and cheating boyfriends. Yet for Hinata, someone who has apparently already experienced a pretty bleak future, which involved someone they admired committing self-harm and/or suicide, it seems like a minor inconvenience. Objects can be replaced, Yuzuki can’t be. It’s nothing short of a miracle that Hinata has a second chance to change her fate. Yet that doesn’t mean Yuzuki is wrong, theft is still a serious issue that shouldn’t be brushed off, even if it seems small compared to other issues.
