While I do agree that the new guy is sus, it's an understandable reaction to finding out that your childhood (girl) friend is suddenly living with an adult man.
The way he acts didn't feels like it's out of concern for her well being but like he's pissed off his "possession" is not in his complete control, it's off putting.

Knowing somewhat the writing style of this author, I won't particularly pay much attention to this new guy, but still, you have no fucking right acting to MC this way, if it was MC who suggested FMC to stay then ok, fine, you can go ahead and do that, in fact, it would not be normal if you didn't act like that.

But FMC was the one insisted on staying, if a alligator threatens to attack you but you still keep swimming in its pond despite the warning, the alligator is not to blame here if it eats you, the blame falls on you.

When next chapter come out and it reveals that FMC didn't tell him that she was the one insisted on staying (which I'm 90% sure was the case.), in that case then I will accept your behaviour, but if you already knew FMC was the one wanting to stay and still act to MC this way then you need some senses beaten into you.

So the childhood friend probably wants to have her to himself from some belief that they should be together. He probably knowingly spreads rumors of them together to keep her away from others and ostracized since he's "popular" so girls want him and boys won't go against him. I'm guessing his pressure on her went into her own home which is why she needed to run and why she could completely ignore the texts of her "childhood friend".

Wasn't Ao a professional programmer? Shouldn't he have a decent PC rig? Probably one based on Ryzen 9 or Core i9, if not a Threadripper. I'd expect an Nvidia graphics card near the top end as well, for CUDA computation performance. I don't see why he wouldn't have been gamer as well.

Or was his trauma so bad that he couldn't bear to look at his PC anymore, seeing how he probably would have occasionally brought work home, and thus the PC would remind him of that awful company. That might explain selling it at some point.

Usually I pull for the childhood friend, but there's something offputting about Yaotome-kun. Definitely feels like the controlling type, here's hoping it doesn't become a major issue, but we'll find out later!
Yeah, very definitely giving those vibes, what with not being too concerned that she doesn't have any friends, and getting pushy about her being with a guy. He also asks her what's going on at the end, which can be a good or a bad thing.

And thanks for the translations!

The problem is that the very nature of "keeping the streaming identity a secret" is the kind of situation that would force the misunderstanding drama trope to happen regardless.
Not necessarily, but I don't think that guy would accept a "can't talk about it" explanation.

So far, he doesn't really know the situation, so being cautious is reasonable. But only until it's been explained properly, so that I agree with.

Well, you can be a programmer with a pretty shitty rig, depending on what you do. I started with a laptop just fine. You can also remote to a better rig at your work if you're working from home, or some other location.

Still, you earn a decent amount of money, and you've got an interest in computers, so not having a good rig is just plain weird. I wondered about that from the start, but figured he might've sold off a lot when he switched jobs.
