I can relate to that "not remembering what even happened" thing -- a vast number of years ago at college I once woke up in the middle of the night and took the pillowcase off of my pillow.

Took the secondary case off that was faced in the other direction.

Then, being an actual down pillow, unzipped and removed the pillow's base covering.

When I got up in the morning I saw that I had thrown them all on the floor and my roommate had to tell me what he witnessed.

I'm beginning to wonder just how old our leads are here. Childhood friend-san treats the MC like he's Higehiro's Yoshida, but he doesn't act like he's more than a year or so out of high school. If they're, like, 19 and 17, it's a much different story than if they're, say, 25 and 15.

I’ve been getting Higehiro vibes for awhile now as well. Ao-San is 27 iirc and it’s never been explicitly stated how old Nina is, but we know she’s in high school (see chapters 2 and I think 7?) hard to say what year but we can only hope it’s 3rd year and that we’ll get a timeskip before we see any tangible progress

I think its implied that she's part of a group as far back as chapter one, plus she mentioned her manager a few times prior
once I think last chapter as well when talking about it being okay if she caught his cold

okay edit because I was wrong, not last chapter, I might have changed the TL for clarity or am remembering a different part. On page 31 of chapter 2 though she does specifically say the agency pays her a salary outside of the donations she receives
