Any vtuber will tell you this is the type of person they want to avoid at all costs. Dude literally thinks he's doing Nina favors when she'd probably be weirded out like hell by his behavior.

Even streamers who do GFE content often times regret having fans like this because they're absolute freaks who will get crazy ideas in their head and start doing insane stuff outside of stream.

I know a vtuber who had a dude in chat who used to donate a LOT for attention. Just dropping massive wads of cash out of nowhere to get her attention, also changed his username to a very attention grabbing one. On stream this vtuber would try to act nice because obviously money is money, but she felt forced to change the kind of content she did, such as avoiding playing games this dude liked so he wouldn't come on the stream and beg to play with her (she let the audience participate in some games). She also started toning down her responses or not focusing too much on him, and the dude started openly complaining online (not in chat but in his social media) and saying he was sad he wasn't getting attention and wouldn't send more money as a result. It completely ruined her mood for a while because, up until then, she had always been super nice to her fans and interacted with them a lot online (we're talking a small time streamer here). She had to reshape how she dealt with donos and people like that in the future, it gave her a lot of stress because she felt she wasn't being as true to herself (she really wanted to interact with chat more but learned the hard way she couldn't do it the way she had so far). All this to say people like this dude are what ruin streaming for both streamers and fans.

There's also recent controversies where indies vtubers being predators to another vtubers (sending penis pic & forcing for sex phone) & their fans (grooming underage fans) complete with damning evidences.

It took some big name vtubers to speak up for the communities to force the vtubers in question to take responsibility and retired from vtubing. It took years for victims to start defending themselves because they got threatened by perpetrator to make public their photos & real identity.

Indies vtuber scene is wild west.

It's been marked as completed around first half of 2024 I think (or maybe late 2023?) and was updated here in mangadex to end at chapter 41. The mangaka is working on two more mangas when this was about to end so maybe it's just what was planned.

Yeah, I think it's just an adaptation from an LN. The other one You2 is working on (titled with a "Nanjou-san" I think) is an original one though and is around 20+ chapters long now. Haven't started it though.

Yeah I know 2 people IRL who stream as vtubers, and they've both told me independently of each other that the other streamers in the scene can be just as psychotic as the viewers. Apparently it's not uncommon for indies to approach much smaller vtubers in the scene in very creepy ways. I didn't get any specifics there, but I have seen some of the shit their viewers have said, and if other streamers can be as bad as that, then that's fucked.

On another note, why are so many mangaka incapable of doing foreshadowing without just rushing it and shoving it in your face? They introduce the stalker guy by him getting pissed about presumably another streamer having a boyfriend, gets introduced as an unhinged fan with entitlement issues, and then suddenly Nina starts an unscheduled stream, all within the space of 1 chapter (plus 1 page in the last one to introduce captain fuckstick). Hmmm, I wonder what's gonna happen there?
