Aru could have tried a little harder to at least have a “serious/solemn” tone while filling out papers for a memorial. she doesn’t have to feel “guilty”, and I get her not wanting to go to it since she’s the cause, but….yeah, it IS weird to not at least perform solemnity for the sake of a victim that you personally knew, and instead attempt to have chit-chat.

unfortunately Aru having negative emotions will end the world so it’s important to coddle her and let her play happy happy until her boytoy dies in 2 years or whatever

I’d like it if this arc explored how Kuromori might limit Aru’s capacity to grow and change by wanting to shield her too much. I know he doesn’t want to gamble with the world, but it would be an interesting aspect of their codependency.

I'm really not sure how this manga is going to turn out. I feel like there's only intrigue in the story if Aru is actually a morally flawed character, but so far I feel like the manga is kind of positioning her to be someone who performs the aesthetics of being flawed while ultimately being "good on the inside"---kind of a 'have your cake and eat it too' situation.

I mean, she literally owns him physically at this point. Doesn't matter what he wants, he literally lives at her whims. The world will be safe as long as he doesn't "cheat" on or leave her. Talk about a possessive woman.

Aru is/was another teenage yandere turned into an OP monster from another dimension. She is pretty much a "true neutral" type that neither cares for nor hates the world and simply exists as herself. In the last chapter (chapter 8), she has made it clear she will destroy the world once MC dies. In this chapter, she has a flashback(?) and wants to essentially make the world "whole" like her.
IMO, the author wrote the story into a corner and is likely struggling to find a sensible path to develop any of the characters. So for us as the readers, the real question(s) become:
1. What does Aru really want?
2. What can the actors around her do to influence her?

I've commented in a previous chapter that the power dynamics between Aru and the rest of the actors thus far in the story is simply incomparable. This makes it impossible for her to grow because she can choose to (not) do anything and suffer no consequences for anything she does. And her infesting the MC with her immortality cells means MC is indentured to her for life and any attempt of him changing that ends the world (and thus the story).
Yeah, this manga had an interesting premise and decent art... but unless there is a tangible plot line we can follow, this will likely be a short series. Right now the behind-the-scenes decision-makers are betting on "love will save the world". So unless we see more grounded world building, we are gonna start seeing contradictions and likely slop fillers. Likely more chapters with people doing FAFO by trying to kill Aru and the people around her. From that point on, Aru starts turning the world into beings like her or she consumes them all.

To me, the only thing that could possibly "change" Aru's mindset now would be if another dimensional monster appears and at that point this manga becomes a monster fighting action (haha?).

Honestly, I don't think she massacred them. What little we know from that flashback at the start which was presumably that event, she apparently wanted everyone to be the same, and shes not a corpse, so "same" shouldn't be dead. Could be someone/thing interrupted her modifying them and their remaining human parts couldn't sustain cthulhu parts, etc, or her using her powers or emotions could have summoned more tumor activity that ended up killing them on their own. Maybe she did succeed in modifying them, and they went mad, killing each other and suiciding, etc.

He should at the very least be talking to the government handlers. They should have been listening in anyways, since he didn't do anything this chapter to avoid it, and the girl thought he was unaware so she shouldn't have expected him to have wiretaps on his body to do anything blocking.

I think she is same as aru now due to the wish , she is the wish that came true. So basically everyone who died, merged into her and became similar to aru , that's why she mentioned "they" as in plural in the wish

I believe that Yorika. You don't have to hurt someone on purpose to be guilty for it. Even if Aru's slaughter 6 years ago wasn't on purpose, she still killed people and has to pay for those actions. Kuromori protecting her like a prized possession, even though she's the cause of his parent's death feels odd to me.
